Kochi, August 28: Due to a bomb threat, passengers on IndiGo flight 6E6482 heading for Bengaluru were requested to disembark at Kochi’s international airport on Monday.
The disturbing call prompted authorities to evacuate the passengers and relocate the aircraft to an isolation facility for further examination.
Nedumbassery police responded quickly, sent a team to investigate the situation. According to reports, the bomb threat call was received at the Cochin International Airport CISF control room for the Indigo 6E6482 flight destined for Bengaluru.
Following a thorough investigation, officials determined that the bomb threat on Indigo aircraft 6E6482 was a hoax. Passengers who were previously offloaded in order to conduct a thorough aeroplane search have been given the all-clear. According to officials, they resumed their journey to Bengaluru around 2 p.m. According to officials, the problem created a brief delay but has already been handled.
The cops are looking into the source of the internet call.
