Afghanistan traffic accident: At least six persons were murdered and several others were injured in a serious traffic collision in Kabul, Afghanistan.
According to Kabul police spokesperson Khalid Zadran, six persons were murdered when a car collided with another vehicle in Kabul.
Six persons were killed and two more were injured after a car collided with a vehicle heading in the opposite direction in Kabul’s Qara Bagh district.
On Sunday, a passenger bus from Kabul went turtle in the Shar-e-Safa region of Zabul’s southern province, killing the driver and injuring 19 others.
According to media reports, a traffic accident in Afghanistan’s western region of Badghis recently killed three persons, including a truck driver.
At 8:00 a.m. local time, a fast-driven truck collided with a tree in the Band-e-Sabzak area outside of the provincial capital Qala-e-Naw.
A similar tragedy occurred in Nangarhar’s eastern region, murdering two people on the spot. A goods truck and a motorbike collided, resulting in the incident.
There has been an increase in traffic incidents in Afghanistan, which can be attributed to a number of factors, including irresponsible driving, deteriorating roads, badly maintained automobiles, and a failure to follow traffic rules.
According to media reports, over 400 people have died in traffic accidents in the country in the last three months.
