Army personnel killed: Three Army servicemen were killed after being injured in an encounter with militants in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam area.

According to the Jammu and Kashmir Police, the jawans are being treated at a hospital.
The fight is said to have started on Friday in the high reaches of the Halan forest area in Kulgam district.
The incident began after officials acquired specific information about terrorists in the Halan forests area. The operation was carried out in collaboration with the police.
As the military moved up on the terrorists, they came under heavy fire. The encounter resulted in the deaths of three jawans.
“On specific inputs regarding the presence of terrorists on higher reaches of Halan in Kulgam, Security Forces launched operations on August 4th.” Three troops were injured and eventually died as a result of the exchange of fire with terrorists. “Search operations are ongoing,” said the Army’s 15 Corps.
