Haryana Nuh protest: CM Khattar calls for peace after six deaths and 116 arrests

Haryana Nuh protest: Six people were killed in Gurugram as a result of the Nuh violence in Haryana

Haryana Nuh protest: Six deaths in the Nuh district violence were verified by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, who also called for peace. In relation to the event, 116 people have been detained, including two members of the Home Guard and four regular citizens. Khattar reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ensuring public safety and promised that anybody found guilty will face repercussions.
With 30 units of the Haryana Police and 20 paramilitary personnel deployed, the situation in the state is currently normal. Due to the unrest that broke out on July 31, more security has been put in place in the neighbouring districts of Faridabad, Palwal, and Gurugram.

Tuesday saw reports of new violence in several Haryana districts, including Sohna Road and Badshahpur in Gurugram. Mobile internet services have been momentarily stopped in Nuh and Section 144 has been implemented for a period of 48 hours.

Varun Dahiya, assistant commissioner of police for crime, promised that there are no traffic restrictions and that all workplaces, colleges, and schools are operating properly. He asked people to submit information using the helpline number “112,” and he warned them not to believe rumours they read on social media.

The violence in Nuh, according to Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala, could have been prevented if the yatra organisers had given the district government all the information they had. Those accountable for the violent incidents will face harsh punishment.

Markets have reopened, the situation is under control, and normalcy has been restored, according to Deputy Commissioner Gurugram Nishant Yadav. In Gurugram, the government organised a flag march, and efforts were made to keep the peace.

Five vehicles were set ablaze in Sohna, five vehicles were set ablaze in Sector 57 mosque in Gurugram, and two to three shops were vandalised following the incident. To guarantee public safety and stop any further escalation of violence, the security agencies are on alert.
