Prime Minister Anthony Albanese will welcome His Excellency Shri Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, to Australia from May 22 to May 24, as a guest of the Australian Government.
The conversations at the G7 Summit and Quad Leaders’ meeting in Hiroshima over the weekend, as well as the Australia-India Annual Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi in March, are all carried over into Prime Minister Modi’s trip to Australia.

The presidents will address boosting commerce between the two nations through a Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement, as well as initiatives to develop people-to-people ties, renewable energy, and military and security cooperation, during their bilateral meeting.
In order to advance Australia’s expanding trade and investment partnership with India and seize chances from the March Australia-India CEO Forum held in Mumbai, Prime Minister Modi will also meet with Australian business leaders.
The Prime Ministers will attend a celebration of Australia’s vibrant and diverse Indian diaspora, a key component of our multicultural community, in Sydney during the visit.
Australia was last visited by Prime Minister Modi in 2014.
The world’s foremost gathering for economic cooperation, the G20 Leaders’ Summit, will take place in New Delhi in September, and the Prime Minister eagerly anticipates travelling there.
