The city’s temples are exquisitely decked to commemorate the nine-day festival, which is very significant to believers from all social strata. Restaurants have also developed their scrumptious dishes for people keeping fasts as hundreds of followers keep the fasts for the entire nine days.
The flowers continued to draw crowds because enthusiasts purchased them in large quantities to use as decorations. Many devotees were spotted going to the temples to ask for Goddess Durga’s blessings.
